Θιβέτ: η ιερή λίμνη Yamdrok


Το Θιβέτ διαθέτει σπάνιο φυσικό και ορυκτό πλούτο ωστόσο, με δεδομένες τις σημερινές παγκόσμιες συνθήκες, όσον αφορά τι ορίζεται ως μελλοντικά «πολύτιμο», ενδέχεται στο μέλλον να αποδειχθεί ότι ο πολυτιμότερος θησαυρός του είναι ο υδάτινος πλούτος του. Άλλωστε από την αρχαιότητα η χώρα είναι γνωστή ως το «κάστρο των νερών της  Ασίας», εφόσον από εδώ  πηγάζουν δέκα μεγάλοι ποταμοί. Εκτιμάται ότι στην περιοχή αυτή περικλείεται το 30% των υδάτινων πόρων της Κίνας.
