Γεωπάρκο Νισύρου: Μνημείο Γεω-Πολιτισμικής Κληρονομιάς!!!

Στο δίκτυο των παγκόσμιων γεωπάρκων της UNESCO ετοιμάζεται να ενταχθεί η Νίσυρος και οι γύρω νησίδες και ήδη προς την κατεύθυνση αυτή έχουν γίνει μεγάλα βήματα. Η προσπάθεια ξεκίνησε το 2020 και βρίσκεται στο τελικό της στάδιο. Η Νίσυρος είναι ένα από τα νησιά της άγονης γραμμής του Αιγαίου, νησιά δηλαδή με χαμηλό επίπεδο ανάπτυξης και προβληματική σύνδεση με τα υπόλοιπα νησιά και την ηπειρωτική Ελλάδα.
